We have been working in IT for over a decade each, and it always starts out great. We get hired by a small IT outsourcing company; we have a few clients; we provide great service. Then, the company grows. We start having more clients than one person can handle; we find ourselves feeling rushed and pressured or having to put off the client even when the situation needs immediate handling. Depending on the “tier” of the client, we are asked to prioritize them differently and give different types of service. Before long, we either get burned out or feel like we just aren’t doing our best work.

We wanted to change all that. As experienced network and systems administrators, our work is precision work. We enjoy taking the time to make sure everything is done right, that there will be no malfunctions or loss of data. We want to make sure everyone using the systems is well trained, so our clients don’t feel frustrated or lost. For us, “good enough” just isn’t good enough.

That’s why we founded Phoenix Edge. When we do a job for a client, we want them to get the best service possible and to get systems that fit their needs. When someone calls with a problem, we want to handle it right away. We aren’t looking to become a huge IT services house. Rather, we take a boutique approach. If we won’t have the bandwidth for one more client, we won’t take one more client—instead, we will make sure that we can always serve our entire client base, keeping them up and running even if there’s a mishap, cyber attack, or simply a change in their needs. We never want to leave our clients hanging. We always want to be proud of our work.
